God Hears You
by Apostle Dr. Leon
Walters
We all teach, believe and understand the Voice of the
Lord, its force, power and consistency. We also
believe that there are many ways to hear the Voice of God. His voice is
like the the wind and the rushing of many waters, like a hammer or a
still small voice inside of you. There are also dreams, visions, the
voice of His prophets and above all His logos word. These are all ways
of hearing God’s voice speaking to you. The Bible says, that God has
created the “hearing ear” and it is not just speaking about our natural
ear to hear but our spiritual ears that causes a strong sensing or
knowing in your spirit that you have heard the voice of your heavenly
Father. We know beyond any shadow of doubt that God is speaking and we
have the ability to hear Him. He is the great shepherd and He knows His
sheep and His sheep know His voice John 10:27.
I want to encourage you, and that God given faith on
the inside of you, to really believe that God hears you when you pray.
John 11:41 “Father you have heard me” there are many testimonies in the
Bible saying “God heard their cry or their prayers in heaven.” We are in
a time and season now when one could feel like “hey God are you even
out there?” This truly has been a difficult time. I personally have
sought God and was not sure I was hearing Him, in my own regard. I have
this faith and confidence when I hear God speaking through me to others
that God has heard their cry and is giving voice back to them. But for
me personally, I am discovering I have to get into a place of separation
with Him “to really hear Him.” God wants intimacy with you. He wants to
talk to you and assure you “He does hear you when you pray.”
Revelation 5:8; speaks about your prayers being held by angels in the
bowls of heaven. I believe there is more prayer by and through the
Church now than any time in the history of the Church. Thanks to all who
have been forerunners in the prayer movement, because through it God is
moved on our behalf, our nation and the nations.
Right now just lay your hands on you heart and abdomen
area and speak out of your own mouth, “Father I do believe
that you hear me, in my marriage, my children, my business, my job, even
in my financial and physical needs. I decree that you hear me right now
and I do believe that you will speak to me and for me.” You
see it is necessary for us to believe that God not only gives to us,
but He receives from us. Increasing pressures and expectations will try
to make you believe that you are separated from God hearing you, and
receiving from you.
Recently, I have been reading in 2 Kings Chapter 18
& 19 and the threat of the king of Assyria against Judah. There are
times when the devil oversteps his boundaries, as he did in the event
with King Hezekiah. In Chapter 18 the only thing I could see that
Hezekiah had done wrong was he didn’t bow to the king of Assyria. In all
other areas he had pleased God. When you are standing in your rightful
position as you are suppose to, the Assyrian spirit is not happy and
will try to take everything. King Hezekiah felt so bad from all the
threats and persecution against Israel and Judah that he bargained with
the king of Assyria and said whatever you want I will give you, just
turn the other way and do Judah no harm. He even gave him all the silver
in the temple and stripped the gold from the columns that had been
overlaid by his own command. I am reminded right now; don’t make any agreements with the enemy or proposition just because the heat
is on. Just as Bishop Hamon has challenged us, to make no agreement with the devil, like, “if
you don’t bother me, I will not bother you. “ No stand still and you will see the salvation of the
Lord on your behalf 2 Chronicles 20:17. Even after Hezekiah relented and
gave great wealth from Judah to the king of Assyria, the king still
threatened them and accused them of being foolish for hearing the
prophets and Hezekiah. Instead the King of Assyria drew attention to his
own greatness and strength. Well, it was in this time of threat and apparent defeat that King Hezekiah prayed and made
his request known to the Lord and laid the threats in writing out on the
altar and cried out to God and 2 Kings 19:20 says that “God heard him.”
God not only heard him but responded from heaven
on his behalf and on the behalf of the children of Judah.
Let me encourage you to read 2 Kings Chapters 18 & 19
and be reminded in Joshua 1:5 that God is no respecter of persons. God
told Joshua that just as He was with Moses, He would also be with him.
If we believe that God hears us when pray, we also must believe that He
will never leave us or forsake us. He honors His Word above His name,
and He assures you that He hears your hearts cry, and is standing nearby
at this crucial time in our lives. Just as God was moved by Hezekiah
pouring out his heart to Him in his time of crisis, God is moved by your
heart being poured out to Him and God will avenge you in your
circumstances. Remember what God has spoken to you in Jeremiah 29:11 “I
know the thoughts that I think toward you says the Lord, thoughts of
peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope.”
Remember God is hearing you when you pray, and He
receives you in a special way. Thank you God, that you have heard us.
Love and Blessings,
Apostle Leon Walters
